Hailing from the Far North, with whakapapa to the far south, I now call Pōneke home.

I’m a Māori (Kāi Tahu, Kāti Māmoe, Waitaha) and Pākehā design researcher, facilitator and strategist with 10 years’ experience in design and social innovation.

I've worked in a large commercial organisation, local and central government, two agencies, and a charity. I draw on these diverse experiences to help you navigate complexity and design a better world.

Outside of mahi, I love having my hands in the dirt, my feet in the water, or my nose in a book.

How I work

I care deeply about doing important work that makes a difference, and I’m pragmatic about what it takes.

  • I prioritise whakawhanaungatanga and take the time to understand your context, people, and vision.

Building this foundation means I can better support you now, and into the future.

  • We’ll create a clear plan and check in often. You'll always know what's happening, when, and why.

If things change - kei te pai - we'll work through that together too.

  • I value what works. I'm flexible and can draw on my diverse experiences to suit your needs.

I'll sometimes gently challenge you, but it's never 'my way or the highway'.

  • I'm here to awhi you, your team, and the kaupapa.

While I can happily lead the project from end-end, we'll work and learn together as one team so the mahi continues smoothly beyond my support.
